Full of Life, Full of Love, Full of Hope
Gabrielle Rene Thomas -
A daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, cousin and friend.
Gabrielle Rene Thomas -
A young woman with big dreams, great visions and a wide open heart.
Gabrielle Rene Thomas - at age 18, gone too soon-
Thursday March 5th, 2015 at approximately 1:30 am Gabriell Thomas (18) and Kamesha Gilmore (17) tragically lost their lives in a horrific accident.
A 22 year old repeat DUI offender driving at an excessive rate of speed struck “Gabby” and “MeMe” killing them instantly.
Word cannot describe the nightmare and horrific pain and hole that has ripped through the hearts of the families of these girls, their friends and the community that we live in.
Their parents, their siblings and loved ones lives will never be the same. The world has sadly been robbed of the opportunity to experience and know the greatness, the potential, purpose and destiny that these 2 beautiful young women had to offer.
The news of this tragic accident and the untimely deaths of Gabby and MeMe have rocked our community to the core.
As you can imagine having to a child to rest at any age, under any circumstances carries with it a pain and weight that leave the heart gapping open. The very nature of the loss of the lives of Gabby and Meme seems to make this pain and weight all the more unbearable. Gabby and Meme are innocent victims of a someone else’s reckless choices. They made no decisions to help create this chaos, this pain, this unfathomable situation, yet their parents are left to pick up the pieces and pay the price.
We have set up this gofundme campaign to help ease the weight and burden of funeral and burial cost. No parent should ever have to be in this situation, not only facing burying their children but burying them because of someone else’s careless decisions. Our goal is to raise funds to lay these 2 beautiful young ladies to race with the dignity and grace that the nature of their death denied them. We also want to bring further awareness to the pain that driving under the influence can cause.
For everyone who has been a support, a voice of hope, and praying for our families during this process, we are grateful beyond words. Many of you have asked how you can help during this most difficult time. This is the most effective way you can be of help in this time.
