Gail's Medical Journey
Donation protected
In 2007, my sister Gail, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a Bone Cell Cancer. After treatments of radiation, bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy, her cancer went into remission.
A few years later, Gail was stricken with Breast and Endometrial Cancer. Additional treatment also placed both into remission. It's been an up hill battle. At the beginning of this year, Gail began experiencing neck and back pains which resulted in a lost of feeling and usage of her left side, Gail found herself unable to walk and was transported and admitted to the University of Chicago Medical Center on April 18, 2015. After an MRI and pathology report, Gail was diagnosed with returning Multiple Myeloma on her spine.
A successful spinal surgery was performed to remove cancerous spurs that compressed nerves within the spinal area. Gail is now on the road to recovery. However, aggressive rehabilitation, is now needed to restore and regain left side usage and mobility. Home health care will also be required as part of her physical restoration.
Your heartfelt donations will assist with medical expenses. Thank you for your support.
