Gail Sacco Final Expenses & Foundation Setup
Donation protected
Gail Sacco was a beloved nonviolent anarchist & tireless advocate for the homeless & poor. For nearly two decades she helped expand the international movement Food Not Bombs & believed food is a right, not a privilege.
She shared food with folks throughout the Las Vegas Valley. She teamed up with the ACLU & sued the City of LV in Federal Court & We WON when officials passed an Unconstitutional law temporarily banning the sharing of food with poor people in our city parks.
We are attempting to cover final expenses & establish a non profit organization, The Gail Sacco Foundation for Affordable Housing which aims to rebuild homes in Puerto Rico, continuing her legacy of service to others.
Briana Erickson, of the Las Vegas Review Journal, wrote a nice article memorializing Gail's life: Gail Sacco, fierce advocate for Las Vegas homeless, dies at 63 (8-30-2019).
