It is our turn to help Garrett

Donation protected

As we say goodbye to someone who called so many of us brothers and sisters, we have an opportunity to give back to Garrett as he did for so many others. He selflessly dedicated so much of his life and himself to others with no expectations of reciprocity. Whether it was his time in the military, working as a rescue worker within 24 hours of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, saving a baby's life onboard a commercial airliner in flight, or his nonprofit that he created for veterans and first responders, Garrett gave tirelessly. Now he needs our help.

He tragically suffered a massive heart attack on Friday, May 4th due to complications from a 9/11 related pulmonary illness. Efforts to save his life were  ultimately not enough. His wishes were to be cremated and his family plans on taking his remains to family property in California. As this was a tragic and unforeseen incident, Garrett's family is asking for help with expenses that his VA death benefits will not cover. This money will also be used for family travel expenses to take Garrett to his final resting place.

His family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all of the love, prayers, and kind words during this difficult time. They also wished to convey that any funds left over would be distributed to a nonprofit organization to benefit veterans as that is what their son and brother dedicated the last years of his life to.

*All funds will be given directly to Garrett's brother, Dan Goodwin.*
