Help my family to leave Gaza & pay Rafah crossing

“Hi, I am Mohannd Al-shurafa, I am 27 years old I live with my family in Gaza. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister, 2 of them are married and have babies. After 175 days of war, I am writing this letter with extreme sadness, as I have no other choice. After the destruction of schools, universities, hospitals, our home and work, no trace of life remains. We live in our 7 floors house. Its construction was completed in 2022, in the month of July, after great fatigue and effort under difficult living conditions in a besieged strip. Life was good and going well despite of all the difficulties, but after the outbreak of war on October 7 2023, we were told to leave our homes and head to the south of Gaza Strip.

We went to the south and lived in a small apartment devoid of the necessities of life, after two months of suffering and cutting off communications and internet, we were heartbroken by the news of our home being completely blown up. That house which carries the most beautiful details of our lives and the toll of years was gone in a blink of an eye. Sadly this is not the only problem, as our main warehouse for storing goods was located under our house. We work in clothing business and the warehouse was full to prepare ourselves for the winter season. All that is left of our home and warehouse is now just rubble.

After receiving the news, we consoled ourselves that we at least still own our large commercial store which consist of 3 floors with and area of 100 square meters per floor, located in the middle of Gaza on its most prestigious street. However we were devastated to hear that when nearby buildings were targeted, our shop doors were also destroyed, leaving them open and vulnerable. All our inventory was quickly stolen as there is no security due the war. We have lost everything.

Our shop has 9 employees, some of them whom are married and the store represents the primary and only source of income for our large family and the families of our employees. Our losses are huge, moreover it is unfortunate that in the 2021 war our shop was completely burned due to the bombing of the shorouk tower which is opposite us, we barely tried to continue without obtaining any compensation at all, but now we are at a complete loss.

This message for me is a glimmer of hope to try to rise again in this life.

Request for Assistance:

I have initiated this fundraising campaign to urgently gather funds to help my family to leave Gaza as soon as possible. The total cost to secure our departure is $55,000. This amount includes $5,000 per person for departure fees, which must be paid to an Egyptian authorities side facilitating our safe passage Upon reaching our destination, we will require financial support to cover basic living expenses, including accommodation, food, transportation, and healthcare, until we secure stable work . and an additional $8000 is required for clothing and urgent medical needs. plus the go fund me fees which is 2.9% +30 cents for each transaction.
