Motivating Manhattan Migration!

Happy May Day Update!

Manhattan Migration Momentum Moves Microscopically--More Money Means Major Milestone Made!

Still planning on exiting the Midwest at May's end.  Please help me make my goal by donating to the cause.  $10 gets me to and from a job interview on the subway!  $20 pays the Pennsylvania Turnpike toll!  $50 pays my first month's electric bill (provided I don't start an in-home electric oven shrinky-dink business).  $100 buys linens for the couch you'll sleep on when you visit! Even $5 buys a marker and cardboard for a sign begging for change outside Grand Central Station!  Every dollar moves me one mile closer to making a dream come true!

Thanks so much--please let me know what I can do to help you help me!
xoxoJeffrey

Hey there"”Jeffrey here. Remember me? Big guy, strawberry blond, devastatingly handsome? Yeah, that's me! I'm coming to you with hat in hand and a sincere promise to stop complaining about Ohio if you can please help me make a big, BIG change!

At the end of May 2014, I'm packing up my cares, woes, and underpants to head back to New York City! I need your help so I don't have to walk there or live in a box down by the Hudson.

Brief background: I returned to Ohio in 2011 to help with Mom's care and advocacy when she was diagnosed with dementia and worked nonstop for two years to find the right place for Mom to get the care and support she needed: the Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield. Unfortunately, in January of this year, only five months after moving in, Mom fell and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, and was Life Flighted to the closest neurological ICU. Her previously diagnosed dementia, exacerbated and worsened by the bleed in her brain, required full-time patient advocacy and I gladly took on the job. I left the workforce and concentrated on Mom and her recovery.

Mom worked very hard to overcome the devastating injury, but on April 4, two days after turning 81, she quietly passed away.

Mom has moved on to the next stage of her journey, and the time is right for me to do the same. It was her constant wish"”especially when I was being particularly annoying"”that I return to New York to stop focusing so much on her and focus on me. I hope to honor that wish now with your help! I know there are undoubtedly countless better ways to spend your money, but I guarantee there is no better way to make one big strawberry-blond guy happy. And after about 1000 straight days of struggle, stress and heartbreak, a little happiness is worth every last penny.

Thanks so much for enduring my plea, for your love and support as we travelled Mom's path, and for your generous help. Those of you in and around the city? I can't wait to see you! For those further afield, I can't wait for your visit!

Again, thanks so much! Please let me know if I can answer any questions or help in any way!
xoxojak
