Please Help Get Gracey Home For Christmas

After months of bravely fighting, my heart breaks to share the news with you all that Gracey's treatment has failed her, her cancer has progressed and she has now been referred to Palliative care.
For those of you unfamiliar with her story, Grace is a dear friend and fantastic Staff Nurse working on Parry Ward at the Royal United Hospital, Bath. In November of 2022, she received a life-changing cancer diagnosis and began a grueling chemotherapy and radiotherapy regime in January 2023. With your help, kindness and financial support Grace was able to fully focus all she had on beating the cancer and returned to her Parry Ward family in the summer of 2023.
Fast forward to April 2024 and Gracey had to do it all over again. The cancer had returned. Her specialists estimated she would have to undertake another intensive round of treatment and anticipated she would suffer the side effects of both the cancer and the treatments for 6-8 months. She was frightened, in pain and was far away from her family.
Again, we turned to all of you amazing folks to support and donate to help relieve a little of the financial burden, stress and anxiety Grace was facing for the second time. Devastatingly, Grace learned this week her treatment has not been effective, nothing further can be done for her and she is now referred for Palliative care.
For 2 years she has fought this awful illness ferociously. She has not been able to work, her Statutory Sick Pay ended months ago and the finances from the previous funds and her savings have now depleted. Worse still, she has been too unwell to travel home to the Philippines during treatment and so has not been able to spend any quality time with her family for years. Having spoken to Grace at length this week as she digests this news, her biggest wish is to be able to go home to be with her Mum.
So I would like to ask you all again, on behalf of Grace, to help raise enough money to be able to send her home in comfort to spend good, quality time with her family in time for Christmas.
We would be so grateful for anything you can give. I know times are hard for everyone at the moment but if you can help in any way please do. Donate if you can, share far and wide, pray and send her words of encouragement and support.
Gracey has sent me the following message of thanks to all those people that have already helped ease her burden and those who continue to do so.
"Today I'm reaching out again in a moment of profound need. After a courageous battle with cancer, I recently received the heartbreaking news that my cancer has returned, progressed and unfortunately no further treatment options can offer a cure. My medical team has recommended palliative care to help manage my pain.
My situation seems to break my spirit but I would like to continue fighting as long as possible. While I am committed to facing this journey with courage, the financial burden has now become overwhelming. I would like to go home but I cannot afford to. It's so difficult for me to ask for help, but I know I cannot do this alone.
Your support, kindness and generosity will make a significant difference to my life, allowing me to focus on my wellbeing and spending quality life with my loved ones.
I am so grateful and cherish all of your support."
Thank you all so much again for donating if you can, sharing far and wide, including her in your prayers and sending her words of kindness and support. Magpasalamat sa bawat segundo ng araw-araw na nakakasama mo ang mga taong mahal mo - Be grateful for every second of every day you get to spend with the people you love.
