Giancarlo Villasmil Memorial Fund - Honoring one of our own!

Donation protected
On May 6th, 2024, tragedy struck our DHS Law Enforcement family. Our colleague, Deportation Officer Juan M. Villasmil from the Miami Field Office, has suffered the unimaginable loss of his 17-year-old son, Giancarlo Villasmil. Giancarlo's mother, Yolanda Villasmil, also a dedicated CBP Officer, is grieving alongside Officer Villasmil and their family. We are all deeply saddened and stand in solidarity with them during this unbearable time.

Let’s take action and support our fellow officers in any way we can. To that end, we have created a GoFundMe page to collect donations and provide some measure of comfort and assistance to Officer Villasmil and his loved ones.

Any contribution, big or small, will be deeply appreciated. For those who prefer to make cash donations, arrangements will be made for collection.

In times like these, we stand together and watch over our own, its time to have their 6. Let us rally behind Officer Villasmil and his family, and help them carry this heavy burden.

Please respect the Villasmil family's time to grieve and heal during this difficult period. We will share updates and information as they become available, and appreciate your patience and understanding in allowing them the space they need. Thank you for your understanding & continued support.
