Hello supporters! Let me start off by introducing myself. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Laura aka Lulu. It’s been a tragic time for our small business. Our beloved Master Jeweler, my mentor, my friend, Vinny has passed away. Vinny and I have worked together for the last 6 years. He will be deeply missed but most certainly never forgotten.
Today I am looking to begin a fundraiser in the hopes that we can raise enough money for the Jewelry Hospital to keep serving our amazing community.
To give you a little background on the Jewelry Hospital. It began in Coram, NY in 1985 and quickly built quite the following. A genuine, honest, medically themed, jewelry sales and repair shop. I have been with the Jewelry Hospital since 2005.
After just over 20 years we moved to our current location in Mt Sinai, NY. The original owner, “Dr. Gold” retired in 2015 and Vincent took over. He had previously owned Stadtmullers in Sayville, NY.
Over the years I have learned quite a lot in this industry and from the second I started I was in love with the repair aspect. I began learning repair work on the bench here and there . Ive even made a few pieces on my own including my husband’s wedding band! But most of our clients know me from customer service.
Over the last year I was able to accomplish so much, all thanks to Vinny. I was promoted to manager, became certified in laser welding for jewelry repair, and received my certification in January 2021. I will be pursuing my bench jeweler education further this year.
I truly believe I was being set up to keep this place going. And that would be a dream come true for me. Since the first day I stepped into this store I have had an overwhelming attachment to it.
Unfortunately I can not do this alone and that is where this fundraiser comes into play. I am asking for your help to raise the funds to keep us going. There is a possibility that without your help, Jewelry Hospital will be at risk of having to close its doors. We made it through a mandated shut down, that in itself was extremely difficult. Losing Vinny can not be how our story ends..
I sincerely love my customers and staff. Together we have built some amazing relationships! Once you are here, you are like family.

This cause means so much to me. It has been my livelihood for the last 16 years. I have grown with the Jewelry Hospital. Ive accomplished so much in this last year especially, and would love to continue making Vinny proud while upholding our 5 star customer rating for you.
