Grayson's Journey Back to Awesome
Donation protected
Hi Everyone! This page has been set-up by Grayson's buddies but the page will updated by his parents Caroline and Justin.
Last Tuesday Grayson was brought to the hospital because he wasn't feeling so well. He had been throwing up for about a month, losing weight, and he just wasn't his smiley, happy self. Then one morning he couldn't walk anymore and his parents immediately brought him to the hospital. A couple days later an MRI showed a grape-sized tumor on/near his brain stem.
On Friday 9/9 Grayson had a 6+ hour surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery went well and the doctors removed the tumor. This was a really tough surgery for Grayson. It took several days but now this amazing little guy is eating, sitting up on his own, and starting to play.
Now for the not so good news. The tumor is a type of brain cancer, Anaplastic ependyomama. Grayson has already gotten through the first step of his recovery, removing the tumor. Next steps are intensive chemotherapy for 4 months, radiation for 6 weeks, and then 6 months of a lower intensity chemotherapy. This next year is going to be tough. But Grayson is a tough little guy and we know he is going to get better. Plus he has super awesome parents and an amazing network of family and friends to be with him every step of the way.
Here is where you come in! Grayson's journey back to awesome is going to be long and costly, with treatment and supplies and driving to and from hospitals almost every day for the next year. Please consider donating to help the Bailey family.Thank you so much for helping this special little dude and his amazing parents. Caroline and Justin have touched so many lives through their work, coaching, and friendship. Now it is our chance to give back and help them out!
Lastly, the Bailey's would like everyone to know that whatever portion of the funds they do not use will be donated.
