Green Brigade Food Drive

As we approach winter months and the Christmas period at the height of a cost of living crisis, we have decided to launch our 2022 Food Drive appeal early.

Across Scotland, families are struggling to make ends meet, and many face the grim ‘heat or eat’ scenario. There are no signs of the pressure easing as the Tory government continues to turn the screw on working-class people.

Our typical food collection will take place on Saturday 5th November outside Celtic Park before our league match with Dundee Utd. You can expect more details on this as we get closer to the fixture. This will be the 10th collection of its kind organised by the Green Brigade, and the response from the support to each one has been nothing short of incredible. The Celtic support is never slow in answering the call, and we expect this year to be no different.

We hope that launching an online collection early will allow supporters to donate in advance and give those who aren’t attending the match the opportunity to help.

All donations will be withdrawn by Martin (a Green Brigade member) and be divided across Scotland to various food banks in the run-up to what will be the most challenging of Christmas periods.

Every single penny donated is hugely appreciated.
