Greenwood Veterans Memorial
Donation protected
Our team with Johnson County Leadership is working towards three goals. One, to help our community honor the many veterans and first responders that have sacrificed so much for our nation; two, to help finalize a memorial that was started 20 years ago; and three, to help beautify our county. We cannot do this alone and need the community's help. We are asking for you to help by donating $5 for each veteran and first responder you know. Encourage your family and friends to do the same. The final project, which is more than halfway funded will be placed in Johnson County off of Surina Way near the Greenwood Police Station. This will be an amazing place to sit and share stories of your sister, grandpa, cousin, or friend when they were goofing off in the barraks or when they met their best friend serving overseas. You can learn what different medals of honor mean, practice folding the American flag with your student organizations, hold ceremonies, or enjoy the serenity that honoring these wonderful people brings to life.
Help us finish this project that was started in 2002 and make a difference. The Greenwood Veterans Memorial is an amazing vision that will bring respect and honor to those who have served for us.
