Kilimanjaro Challenge 2017

Tax deductible
On September 23, 2017, I will be trekking Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest freestanding mountain, to raise funds in order to help rural communities in Tanzania gain access to clean water.
Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa, home to over 52 million people. 23 million people have no choice but to drink dirty water from unsafe sources. Typically, women and children spend over seven hours a day in remote areas collecting water from distant rivers or streams contaminated with waterborne diseases: Amebic Dysentery; Cholera; Hepatitis A; and Typhoid.  The dirty water that they are forced to drink out of necessity has a detrimental impact on health, with over 3,000 children under five dying each year from preventable diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation.

This journey to the roof of Africa will raise funds to support the Philadelphia-Serengeti Alliance , a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on the development of water resources in remote areas of Tanzania.

Please support my climb with a donation, as your donation will most definitely make a difference in the life of a family without access to clean water.

Thank you,

Greg
