Aid For The Groveland COs & Their Families

Donation protected
03/03/25 EDIT: Please help. Even $5 makes a difference for these COs and their families.
We have a team of attorneys willing to help each NYS Correctional Officer with a small, per person, retainer fee.
"Small" isn't actually small when the majority of officers (who have held, and continue to hold the line) aren't getting a paycheck this week. They have been threatened, bullied, harassed, and lied to since the strike began... and now NYS is hanging loss of healthcare and arrests over their heads, instead of actually seeking resolution.

Thankfully, these amazing men and women have been trained very well to not react to tantrums/threats/intimidation/bullies/lies, so they continue to dig their heels in deeper and stay the course. It's the right thing to do, and their reasons are both honorable and admirable. I am personally proud of each man and woman who is holding the line, despite their own personal concerns. It is a great risk to stand up to tyranny, even for the greater good. Courage is contagious & UNITED you are so strong!

The "offer" you may have heard of is nothing substantial or permanent, and those with GRIT keep pushing for a real change, for the betterment of all parties that have any relation to a NYS Prison or those that live and work inside the walls. The strike is NOT over, as it was very prematurely announced on two government websites, two nights ago. Government Gaslighting at it's finest, and could not be further from the truth.
NO officer should be treated as they have been, only to be further abused & bullied (by their own governor and commissioner), for rising up to demand safer working conditions.

If you can, PLEASE HELP! I thank everyone, from the depths of soul, who have helped, donated, shared and continue to advocate for every officer, state wide.
Let's keep giving em' the help, support, encouragement they have earned & deserve! #HoldTheLine

Original Description:
I am a family member of a Groveland Correctional Facility Officer, and I am here to raise funds to help the families of these brave officers, who are on strike, so they can HOLD THE LINE without fear of a missed mortgage payment, car payment, utility payment, or simply keeping food on the table.

If you don't know a lot about this, I promise just a tiny bit of research will shed light on what they are fighting for. This stand is state wide, but my intention here is to focus on the families at Groveland.
Don't let the 'powers that be' gaslight you either - their strike isn't about money.

The working conditions these men and women face on a daily basis is despicable and their calls for help have gone unaddressed for too long. They have had enough and are taking a stand.

Aside from missing pay for the days they strike, they will be docked when they return, for each strike day.
They are being punished for standing up for reasonable working conditions, proper staffing, safety, no 24 shifts, to repeal the HALT Act which minimizes inmate crimes and limits officer authority. My words here are not all inclusive of the basic rights they are asking for and deserve, but this gives you an idea.

Despite being threatened they are standing their ground until proper resolution is made, and this is taking a financial toll on many officers families, who like most blue collar folks, live paycheck-to-paycheck.
They have, and still are, putting themselves on the chopping block everyday.
Fighting hard for change, risking it all for the greater good.

Let's help them continue this fight by at least softening one burden, keeping essential bills paid so their households stay afloat.
The goal is big, but if we rally together we can help these families keep pushing forward so the officers can focus their energy on fighting for the respect they deserve.

They protect our community, and need to be given the tools & resources to maintain order in our prison systems without spending days upon days away from their families or all the other hazardous consequences that come from grossly understaffed prisons.
They protect us, and now it's time to protect them.

Every last penny raised will support the Groveland Corrections Officers & their families. If this manages to exceed what the Groveland officers need I will work with internal contacts to expand aid to officers and families at other facilities.

All records will be kept for full transparency of fund allocations.

Thank you!
