Holy Trinity CE School - Ultimate Challenge
In support of Mrs Harjette who is currently battling Aggressive Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, the children and staff of Holy Trinity CE School are undertaking the ultimate challenge.
Together, we will be running the distance between Holy Trinity School, Marlow and Wanaka Area School, New Zealand, where Mrs Harjette went to school!
30 days - 18,935 Kilometres
In addition to supporting Mrs Harjette we would love to raise as much money possible for two very worthy charities selected by Mrs Harjette:
Cancer Research UK
As the world's largest independent cancer research charity it conducts research by the charity's own staff and by its grant-funded researchers. It also provides information about cancer and runs campaigns aimed at raising awareness and influencing public policy. Much of the diagnosis methods and treatment that Mrs Harjette is undergoing is a result of this research. The organisation's work is almost entirely funded by the public.
The Marlow United Charities
Marlow United Charities was created in 1898. Their income comes from public donations and fundraising events and from the rental of 30 allotment plots and a large field. Traditionally, all of the annual income is spent in December on food vouchers for needy families in Marlow, who are reached through the local schools and churches. Last December 73 vouchers of £70 were gifted to families in the town.
