Harvest Hills Cares Calgary: Helping Calgarians

Harvest Hills Cares Calgary is a Federally Registered Non Profit that operates in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

HHCC started on March 16, 2020, as a community group at a kitchen table and became an official Federally Registered Canadian NonProfit Organization on December 16th, 2020! 

We are a volunteer-based non-profit and do not take any funds for our services at any time. Every donation that comes into us goes right back into the community in the form of Groceries for our Food Hampers, Rent payments to landlords, and utility/bill payments that are paid directly to the provider, Medications for seniors and individuals that can’t afford them….We also help with so much more

We have a food hamper program where we help families, seniors, and single individuals in need by providing help for a whole month. We found by asking individuals what is needed and what is wanted, we can put together a hamper that is geared to the need of the request versus handing out a premade food hamper that is filled of what we think people want and need.

By giving a hamper assembled out of the list of needs and wants of the individuals or families or seniors making the request, we have complete percent consumption of the food hamper with absolutely 0 zero waste...In contrast, a premade, put-together hamper of assorted items has a consumption rate of 45% to 55%, with the remaining things in the hamper going to the garbage and being wasted.

We are desperately needing donations of items that we use in every hamper we put together. We also need outreach supplies and items/supplies that we use for all the other initiatives we currently have.

Canned Meats, Canned Soups, Canned Fruits, Canned Vegetables, Assorted Condiments, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Rice, Peanut Butter, Jams, Honey, Nutella, Coffee, Tea, Coffee Creamer, Powdered Milk, Powdered Creamer, Juice Boxes, Cereal, School Snacks, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Tooth Paste, Mouth Wash, Tooth Brushes, Hand Soap, Laundry Soap, Dish Soap, Various Household Cleaning Supplies, School Supplies, Diapers, Formula ETC.

Outreach Initiative Program:

Socks, Underwear, Full & Hotel Size Personal Hygiene Items: Hand Creams, Shampoo, Conditioner, Combs, Hair Brushes, Hair Elastics, Bodywash, Deoderant, Gloves, Hats, Scarfs, Winter Footwear, Summer Footwear, Winter Accessories, Outerwear: Jackets, Snowpants, Rain Gear, Umbrellas, Basic Clothing: Pants, Shirts, Underwear, Socks, Hoodies, Pajamas, Thermal gear, Blankets, Pillows, Towels, Adult Diapers, Wipes, Gifts: Books, Paper Notebooks, Pens, Crayons, Pencil Crayons, Felt Markers ETC.

We will continue to use any and all the funds donated through this GoFundMe for the abovementioned Initiatives and the many individual situations and requests that we frequently post in both this fundraising campaign and on all our social media platforms.
