Help my family who lost everything in house fire.
Hello friends, family, community. We are the Hassan family and we are here to talk about a tragic and unimaginable event occurred on Saturday 12/10/2023 in the small town of Damascus, Maryland around Midnight.
Our family house had caught on fire started due to an electrical mishap in the garage. The fire quickly bursted out of control and we had to evacuate our home. Thankfully all of us were able to make it out of our house. The fire quickly spread to parts of the house, along with some of our cars in the yard. Thanks to the brave group of 65 firefighters and first responders that were able to help contain and put the fire out.

We are lucky to be alive from this night, but now the unthinkable had happened standing outside our house watching it burst into flames along with all our memories and belongings. This has been a house where we have been able to grow up and raise almost 3 generations in. This was more than just a home. This was our life. My family has been in Damascus for over 30 years where friends, family, neighbors, and community members have all been around to enjoy our wonderful home together. My parents have lost everything they have worked so hard to provide for our family and community.

We are currently displaced looking for a temporary place with all our food and most belongings lost in this tragic event. Not to mention the emotional and physical distress from the aftermath. Especially during this holiday season.

I am asking to please support in any way in helping my parents get back on their feet as they begin to rebuild their life back together. We appreciate all the love and support from everyone around. Please stay safe and enjoy this holiday time with your family.
