Funeral Expenses for Hayden Cornelius

******* U*P*D*A*T*E ******* With a heavy & sad heart, I'm informing all those who contributed and shared this page that Hayden passed away on Saturday, April 13th. We are now asking for assistance with the cost of his funeral expenses. We would also like to ask that you continue to pray for the family and keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time. More details will follow as I receive them. ~ D _________________________________________ On the night of March 12th, my precious nephew Hayden was helping out a friend by changing her tire.  He was underneath her truck getting the spare Someone hit him. Hayden is now at Parkland Memorial in Dallas, TX, where he'll be for quite some time.  Because of the trauma to his legs, he had CO² buildup in his lungs & was placed on a ventilator. On Saturday, March 16th, he had a successful surgery on his femur (his right leg).  The only complication the surgeons had was the build-up of fluid on Hayden's lungs, essentially causing him to have pneumonia in one lung.  He is scheduled for tomorrow morning, March 19th, for the surgery on his tibia, fibia, and ankle (his left leg). I also want to mention my youngest nephew, Harrison.  He witnessed the accident and is still traumatized from it. Had Hayden not asked him to get a wrench from his truck, Harrison would have been hit too. His mom, Vanessa Cornelius, is staying at the hospital with Hayden 24/7, thereforenot able to work. My brother, Paul Cornelius, is still working and going to the hospital every day/night. The expenses they are accruing are already causing a financial strain on them.  This is where you can help. The expenses they currently have are gas, food, toll roads, hospital parking, etc. I have done a rough estimate of what they will need over the next two months (that is the minimum amount of time seeing that Hayden's recovery time is projected to be around 4 to 6 months.)  It's been asked how old Hayden is and he turns 21 in June. Other ways you can help if you're in the DFW area: 1. Fast Food restaurant cards*** 2. Weekly parking pass at the hospital ($20/wk) 3. Gift cards for gas (like at WalMart) or pre-paid Visa/MC 4. Prayers, good thoughts, & good vibes 5. Cards of encouragement for both Hayden & Harrison.  6.
