#LETSHelpHeath fight a rare form of Lymphoma (MCL)
Donation protected
I am raising money to help Heath Phillips, a Navy veteran and sexual assault survivor. Heath was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin's Mantle Cell Lymphoma in 2019 (mantlecelllymphoma.pdf, lls.org). He was in remission for 13 months. Unfortunately, it has returned more aggressively than before. We want him to see the difference he has made in our lives.
Heath has impacted so many lives, and we hope he will worry less about us and focus more on getting well. All funds raised will be used towards medical, travel, and living expenses to give him comfort and do things he never did for himself before his health becomes incapacitating.
Our long-term hope is to start a foundation to ensure
Heath's life work will live on
Heath was a victim of sexual assault at 17 while serving in the Navy in 1988. He went through the proper channels and pleaded with a hard-hearted chain of command for salvation but was ignored and rebuked. Since, he has dedicated his adult life to advocating for victims of sexual assault, sexual harassment, male victimization, bullying, hazing, bystander intervention, prevention awareness, and thriving.
He has provided testimony as an expert on several special congressional panels for sexual assault victims (2010, 2015, 2016, 2017). He has given a voice to countless people who otherwise felt forsaken by society. He has dedicated his life to supporting the Active Military, Veterans, and many others who need help.
It's time for all of us to support him now and let him know that his contributions to our society will have a lasting effect for generations to come.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us. Let us make him proud knowing we are helping support Heath during this fight.
