Previous record was with prodigy GM Praggnanandhaa which Abhimanyu managed to beat by 17 days.
He has about 1 yr and 10 months months (as of Nov 2019) to beat youngest Grand Master record. This record is currently with prodigy Super GM Sergey Karjakin.
He would need to play in ~12 expensive closed invitational and ~6 strong open chess tournaments and would require to travel extensively. He would need funds to cover tournament fee, training and travel expenses to achieve his dream of becoming youngest ever Grand Master in the world. Please support him.
Thanks

Recently World Chess Federation published below article where they compared 3 top performing younger players (from the world) rating with current world champion Magnus Carlsen of same age. Abhimanyu is in the list with along with Alireza Firouzja and Praggnanandhaa R.
There is handsome margin of 300 fide rating points.
https://www.fide.com/news/331
Abhimanyu Mishra really stands out in this group with rating of more than 300 points higher than that of Carlsen at the age of 11. Magnus got his first rating (2064) in April 2001. He was in the U-12 which is very late by modern standards.
https://fide.com/news/302
A young American talent Abhimanyu Mishra (2397) managed to make a “top-top” leap from U-10 to U-12. As ratings are growing very fast in these categories, it is quite an achievement. It suffices to say, that since ratings have been calculated monthly he became the first person to make such a transition.
Article published by fide covering leaders in major age categories at the beginning of 2020. Abhi got the top spot in U12 category worldwide. Hopefully we will come out of current corona mess sooner. He is badly missing his Grand master norm tournaments.
Podcast by World class commentator and Grand Master Maurice Ashley explaining about Abhimanyu and his aspirations.
