Overcoming Cancer, Giving Back
In March of 2013, I was diagnosed with Grade 1/3 Stage II invasive ductal breast carcinoma. At that time, my doctor recommended tumor removal and 33 radiation treatments, which I followed carefully. In May 2018, the doctors confirmed that the cancer had returned, and it was Grade 2/3, and their recommendation was to follow-up with an oncologist.
At this time, I want to try other modalities that have worked for other cancer survivors, but my insurance will not cover them. The cost of alternative treatment is more than my family can bear.
I have been paying out-of-pocket for doctor visits, thermograms, supplements, detox therapies, and food to support my body's healing. And, now, I am reaching out to the greater community to ask you to partner with me. Currently, my medical bills for my mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy, and lab total $4,600, and it is not covered by my insurance.
With your help, I can continue to monitor my progress while implementing specific modalities and tests. I will also be able to address nutritional imbalances and incorporate supplementation, juicing, etc. recommended by holistic specialists.
It is difficult for me to maintain the protocols needed for healing like preparing juices and food to properly nourish my body while working and maintaining my family life. Many times, I need to rest and don't always get the laundry done or have meals prepared for my family.
My need is urgent. I am currently waiting on funds to continue appointments with my naturopath, order testing, and to implement other treatments for healing. I'm self-employed, so these funds will enable me to focus my self-employment income on my children’s school tuition and personal bills.
I know that this journey is not just for me. There is a greater purpose in overcoming, and it includes giving back to my community and helping others overcome, too. Thank you for your support!
