Help Bolivian kids in need have a nice Christmas!

Hi, my name is Melisende Duignan. I am 16 years old and am currently in transition year (4th year) at a secondary school in Dublin, Ireland. Like you, I would like to make a positive impact on the world. Therefore, I ask your help to give a better Christmas to those in need by providing food hampers, toys and school supplies to poor children in Coroico, Bolivia.

Why Bolivia: Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in South America, with limited resources available to those who live there. Therefore, your contribution will make a real difference. My grand-aunt, Sr. Lena Harney, has worked with the poor in Coroico, Bolivia for over 28 years. Among other things, Lena helps children in rural areas attend secondary school to obtain an education they otherwise wouldn't have access to.

What: Food hampers, toys and school supplies to help these poor children and their families in Coroico, Bolivia. A food hamper costs €30/$30. A gift hamper that also includes toys and school supplies costs €50/$50.

How: Please contribute through this site. 100% of all donations will go directly to help those most in need. There are no overhead/administrative costs – all donations will go to bring joy to those who otherwise would go without this Christmas. As I am under 18, my mum (Breda Duignan) will receive and transfer the funds to Lena.

No amount is too small or too large! We would like to help as many families as possible. Think of all the joyful faces when the children open the hampers and the lovely meal they will share with their families this Christmas.
