About 3 years a go my friend Cheryl Lewis, Jeremey Lewis's ( aka Heavy Chevy to us racers) wife quietly and bravely faced the challenges of Cancer (CA) treatment. Cheryl ended up winning her fight against breast CA, and had been free from this terrible disease until recently. For the last few months she continued to check what seemed to be routine scarring from previous treatment. Recently the area in question escalated in symptoms, and a byopsy was performed. The pathology report came in last week, and sadly, Cheryl was diagnosed with CA again, and of a different strain this time. The oncology team treating Cheryl is recommending advanced rapid treatment and additional testing at Moffitt in Tampa. I know the Lewis family is strong and proud, and may not ask for help, but I am asking for them. They managed the last fight alone, and privately. It is not typically what I do, but I am asking my friends to help with whatever donations they can make to this "go-fund me", to help the Lewis's through this second fight. It will likely require more travel, treatments, and co-pays, than before. Please donate what you can, as soon as you can, anything is appreciated.
