Help Cory, a Diehard Chargers Fan, Beat Cancer

Hello,
My name is Cory and I was just recently diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer. I’ve been battling all sorts of battles since I was a kid. My life story is a bit hectic as I entered the foster system at the age of 7 and by age 12, I was left in a group home while my grandma took my siblings and moved across the country. Nobody wanted me and I lived on the street from 12-18 years old. I didn’t really have any family growing up, but I made sure that I was gonna succeed. I stayed away from drugs, hardly drank, got great grades, and really tried to do well for myself. Things were going well for me up until last year when I lost my business, and the struggle began. Well it doesn’t help that now I have to battle cancer and take on all these new medical bills and medications. Sometimes it just feels like it’s one thing after another! But I am optimistic about all of this and truly believe that with determination, support, and some sort of miracle to help with this financial situation, that I’ll beat this easy.
I know I have the most amazing girlfriend, who loves me unconditionally and will always be there by my side. I also know that I have the love and support from my Chargers fam and friends….I appreciate all of you.
This is really hard for me to do as I never liked asking for help, but after completing my first session of chemo and talking with the doctors, there is just no way I could ever afford these treatments, Dr visits, and medications on my own and my insurance is garbage. I honestly don’t expect to get much if anything from anyone, but if somehow you were able to help in any way, it would mean the world to not just me, but my girlfriend and my dog.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a safe, healthy, and wonderful day.
