Help Derrick Beat Cancer Naturally
Donation protected
My brother in law Derrick passed away on Sunday morning, January 13th, after an 8 month struggle with cancer. He remained hopeful, vigilant and focussed on treatment right up till the end, with my sister Lori and his baby boys by his side.
I will miss you bro, but will never forget your bravery, intelligence, kindness and wit. You made my sister so happy and Andrew and Benjamin are true gifts to this world.
We are keeping this site going, as all donations will now be going to support Lori and the boys in Derrick’s memory, and to help pay for the trips he took for treatment, in Germany and Japan.
_______
Derrick was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer in May 2017 after a six month self directed search for diagnosis. He knew something was wrong but the medical clinics and doctors he sought out did not get to the root of the problem early enough.
In addition to the large tumor on his esophophagus near the stomach, the cancer spread to his lymph nodes and liver. Unfortunately, surgery was not an option.
Though the survival rate was low for this type of cancer, Derrick did vast amounts of research into therapy options, and coordinated a number of treatments that showed positive results. He focussed on the fundraising effort to allow him to continue these treatments.
My sister has been so strong throughout as she became his main caregiver, focussed on preparing an alkaline diet for Derrick, providing him with emotional support, and taking care of their babies- 4 month old Benjamin, and 2 year old Andrew. Victoria hospice was also helpful in the last month before his death. Lori and Derrick were surrounded by the support of friends and family.

If it is possible for you to donate, it would be so appreciated. Thank you so much!
