Help Fr. John Filipowicz with Vehicle Damages

Fr. John is an Archpriest in ROCOR and Oklahoman Native residing in a humble "hobbit hole" in Norman, Oklahoma with his cat, Ms. Kitty.

 

As a priest he helps lead the flock at St. Nino Equal-to-the-Apostles Orthodox Church in Stillwater, OK.

 

Fr. John works at The University of Oklahoma as a security guard and is just above the poverty line.

 

On October 10th, Oklahoma experienced some rather severe storms in multiple different areas.

Norman, OK. was one of these areas and Fr. Johns vehicle at the time took such significant amounts of damage that he was forced to begin the process of purchasing a new vehicle, with payments, insurance, etc.

 

The estimate for tax, title, & registration alone was $1,200.00

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Johns monthly payments for the new vehicle, as well as the insurance, are quite high as well.

 

To preface the next point, I'd like to mention that Fr. John was previously assigned to St. Benedict Orthodox Church in Oklahoma City, which was about a 25 minute drive from his home.

Being now assigned to St. Nino Equal-to-the-Apostles Orthodox Church in Stillwater, OK. his drive is over an hour and 30 minutes.

 

Fr. John is currently searching for a new place to call home as well as for work in Stillwater.
