Help Gregg & Leslie from Motorhome Rollover

Donation protected
When I think of Gregg & Leslie Ann Ciccone, I think kindness, family, and compassion. I don't think I have met anyone who supports our community more than Leslie and Greg. Yes, they are dog lovers but there literally isn't a community charity or cause that Leslie and Gregg haven't supported in the past. Please help me in raising money for them after they experienced an accident that completely destroyed their RV along with all their belongings. They are lucky to be alive... Please read the whole story below.

Sunday, December 19th, Gregg & Leslie Ann Ciccone and their two dogs, Lad & Rey, were involved in a Hit-n-Run accident while driving from Florida to California on I-10. While driving their RV, a large truck hit their trailer-in-tow and pushed them off the road, where their RV rolled over and slid to a stop upside down.

Within a few minutes, two people stopped to help and emergency personnel began arriving to the scene. Gregg was able to extricate himself from the RV, but Leslie Ann was stuck inside, upside-down. Gregg was immediately relieved to see their two dogs alive, looking at him from outside the RV, sitting patiently. While Gregg secured the dogs, a good-samaritan crawled into the rubble to try to help Leslie out of the RV. She told him that she was bound by the seatbelt and her long hair, which he would need to cut to free her. His reply was, "I have a wife; there is no way I am cutting your hair with my knife." In the end, that is exactly what he did. He cut her hair in three places and cut the seat belt and pulled her free.

It is clear, from the pictures the the night of the accident, that survivors were not expected. EVERYTHING in the RV was destroyed including their laptops, phone, clothes, etc and Gregg's brother Bart's ashes.

Amazingly, Gregg and the two pups received very minor physical injuries. Leslie has had a more difficult time, but is recovering well. All four of them are suffering mentally, but incredibly grateful to be alive and together. They have no family nearby and are currently recovering in a hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi trying to navigate their next steps.

1,000s of people in the St. Petersburg - Tampa Bay Areas, will be familiar with Gregg & Leslie Ann, as the owners of (swah-rey) and remember their delicious desserts with fondness. In October, Leslie Ann was transferred to San Diego to finish out her federal government career and return to their forever-home in St. Petersburg in 18 short months. To relocate both of them and their two large dogs, they decided that the best way to travel cross county would be to buy a used RV and a trailer to transport their household goods.

Due to the natural disaster destruction throughout the Southern United States, insurance companies are overwhelmed. Gregg & Leslie Ann have been told to expect a 4-6 weeks delay to see any real financial relief. In the meantime, they need a lot of help from us, from afar. Perhaps you could donate to help them while they recover? Perhaps you know someone else who can help them?

Their immediate needs, which are time critical are:
*Family-sized rental transportation (ie. Large SUV or Cargo Van or Private Jet (lol)) to get the four of them from Biloxi to San Diego.
*Trailer contents to be retrieved and transported from the tow-yard in Biloxi to their apartment in San Diego.
*EVERYTHING that you would need if your home-away-from-home was completely destroyed.
