Help My Family To Evacuate From Gaza

Hi, my name is Mao Gh, I was born and raised in the Gaza Strip and have been living in the UK for the past 5 years.

I have set up this fundraiser to raise money for my family who are currently suffering in Gaza due to the devastating collapse of the city at the hands of the ongoing war. The situation is dire with many lacking access to basic necessities such as shelter, water and food and adequate health care.

85% of Gaza’s populations have been displaced, mostly packed into the southern city of Rafah. My family, whose home has been entirely destroyed, have sought refuge where they could find it and are now staying at a school with many others.

My siblings currently in Gaza. At their age, their counterparts across the world enjoy lives where they can live and learn freely. In Gaza, they have had their dreams shattered. Our mother, works tirelessly to cushion the effects of the onslaught, however, without assistance, her efforts will be in vain as the humanitarian crisis worsens.

In moments, my entire family have had their lives utterly broken. They have witnessed death and destruction, heard the constant explosions of bombs and the buzzing of drones, and have been subject to deep emotional turmoil from which they may never recover.

According to a Guardian investigation, Palestinians desperate to escape the dire conditions of Gaza must pay up to $10,000 (£7,850). I am raising funds to contribute to their evacuation and to provide emergency relief in the hope that it may infuse some normality to their lives.

This is an urgent plea for help. No human should endure what life is in Gaza right now. Your donation can be a catalyst for change. It can be the beacon of hope they need to change their lives; proof that compassion can triumph over the ravages of war, and from the ashes, resilience can give rise to a brighter future.
