A true Chabad Eishes Chayil Thirty-eight-year-old Lilach Swisa, a loving wife mother of four boys, is struggling with multiple sclerosis (MS) since she was 24 years old. This debilitating condition is an unpredictable disease in which the body’s immune system attacks the protective myelin sheath that covers the nerves. Lilach’s, symptoms and resulting pain has severely diminished her quality of life and her ability to care for her family and young baby. A wheelchair or a full support walker is the only way she can ger around. It is so very hard for her family to watch her suffer through each day, not to mention the incredible financial burden this has caused, A husband that needs to be home in case his wife falls or in case she can’t get to the baby etc. etc. her children ask if Eemah, will ever walk again.
Lilach, was born and raised in Israel. At the age of 18, she traveled to the United States to visit with her father and while there she met her future husband. They married in Israel but later settled in North Miami Beach to start their family. Lilach, was very active during this time but began to experience the symptoms of MS after the birth of her second child.
After years of declining health, Lilach, found great hope for MS patients in new stem cell technology called hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or HSCT. This procedure may halt of even reverse the progression of her MS. Lilach, has found a reputable and well-known medical facility in Israel where she has been approved for this treatment and can start as early as this August, however her health insurance company will not pay for this costly procedure as it is outside of the United States. Lilach, will be required to pay for the total expense of her HSCT therapy out-of-pocket. The cost of the HSCT treatment, travel abroad, housing, and follow-up care will be upwards of $130,000. It is a challenge she cannot face alone so we are turning to you for support.
This go fund me is to help with the financial burden of Lilach’s, uninsured and related expenses, are for medically-related expenses only. Please!! we urge you to consider a contribution.
Your support is critical to the success of Lilach’s, struggle. There is so little time, and so much to Fundraise. Your help would be such a mitzvah!
With sincere thanks,
Lilach’s, loving family and friends
