In July 2022, Lynn's world shifted with a difficult diagnosis of Bile Duct Cancer. Despite undergoing the challenging Whipple Procedure, which involved the removal of multiple organs, the aggressive cancer continued to pose a relentless threat. After months of recovery and chemotherapy, Lynn courageously returned to work in May 2023, determined as ever.

Lynn’s fight was not just against cancer; it was also a determined battle against the many mistakes made by Queensland Health along the way. She faced obstacles not only from her illness but from a healthcare system that often fell short. Driven by resilience and a commitment to change, she was determined to share her story and expose these gaps, hoping to bring attention to the need for better care for all.

Even as the cancer later spread to her lungs and a new tumor emerged, Lynn sought advanced treatments, enduring significant costs and sacrifices. Her story became a testament to her courage not just in fighting her illness but in advocating for improved healthcare.

Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Wayne, her cherished daughter, Cassie, two beautiful grandchildren, and an amazing family who will carry forward her memory and spirit. Their strength and love were sources of joy and support for Lynn throughout her life, and her love for them was boundless.
