Morris Family loss of home to fire
Donation protected
Let me start over, On July 27th, 2023 the unthinkable happened to our family. At 12:32 a loud pop was heard in our kitchen and my daughter went into the kitchen to see it on fire, I grabbed my grandson and took him to the door and told him to run to the neighbors and I grabbed my daughter as she was letting her dogs out and pushed her out the door and told her to run. I ran to get the water hose and as I stepped into our door the heat that hit my face is something I will never be able to explain or forget and then fire shot over my head and I looked up and my curling was like a sea of flames and at this point I knew I could not save my home so I ran too. My 4 year old grandson, 13 year old daughter and myself made it out with just the clothes on our backs and the socks on our feet. The fire department was there in a matter of minutes but our home was done and gone it was just them there to contain it. We lost everything we owned that day and we never in our lives imagined loosing our home so we had no kind of insurance to help us get restarted. There is 6 of us ages 2 months, 4, 13, 20, 41 and 42 and we are forever grateful to have a camper to stay in right now. We have found a trailer lot that has lowered it’s down payment rate and they have a doublewide in our price range, we just have to come up with close to 5,600.00
If you aren’t able to help us we completely understand, just a simply share to get it out there to maybe someone else who may be able to or them to share it means a lot to us. I thank you all for taking the time to read our story.
