Help Needed for Charles Falk

Thank you for visiting this GoFundMe to support my brother Charles Falk. Since Charles was hospitalized in December 2021, he has healed from a serious blood infection that affected his heart and is now medically stable. Charles worked hard to get stronger, though did not gain sufficient strength to return to living independently. Unfortunately, in May 2023 he had to let go of his apartment in Berkeley.

Charles has adjusted to this change in his life by having a very positive attitude. He enjoys working with his caregivers and is at peace with his limited lifestyle. Charles prioritizes maintaining contact with friends and family, engaging in spiritual teachings, reading, and keeping his mind active.

Kaiser Hospital placed Charles at the Grant Cuesta Rehabilitation Center in Santa Clara. Though Charles is comfortable where he currently resides, I continue to seek a suitable care facility for him in the East Bay. Charles uses his Social Security to pay a share of the cost for his long-term skilled nursing care and receives a monthly income of $35.

All contributions to this GoFundMe will be used to enhance Charles' quality of life. Charles would like to purchase a computer to increase his access to online resources and entertainment. He wants to use a screen that's larger than the screens on his phone and iPad and reduce his eye strain. Funds raised for Charles will also be used for tech support, spiritual teachings, and events with friends and family.

Contributions of any amount would be greatly appreciated. I hope to raise enough funds to hand Charles a new computer before the end of the year.
