Help Our Small Local Business
After dealing with the enormous impact that Hurricane Irma caused us, and getting emergency SBA help at that time, we decided it was best for us to NOT take any assistance/loans, that must be repaid during this COVID-19 outbreak. Instead, we had to make hard decisions that would ensure that our business would make it through without putting it into a worst situation when this passes. We also were not able to receive any Payment Protection Plan money due to the blunder that happened between the banks and SBA. Money was gone before our applications was "officially" received. Now we figured that it wouldn't hurt to give this a try and see what happens. Doesn't hurt to ask right? This money will help benefit the employees, as we will use the funds immediately to help with their loss of work/income due to the Pandemic. Our tasting room was shut down on March 15th and because we have so many tourists visit us, it is a large part of our revenue, therefore we had to lay everyone off. We are able to offer online sales for delivery and curbside pickup, so the winery itself will get through all this. There are things we could be doing, like maintenance on equipment, improvements and updates to the tasting room, cleaning and organizing our warehouse and stock room, create and update marketing materials to reflect the "new" normal and prepare for re-opening under new restrictions and guidelines that will allow for a safe environment for our employees and guests. We have worked hard building our family owned and operated business to get it where it is today, and we woud be extremely grateful for any help we can get. Thank you taking the time to read this, and we hope you and all your loved ones are safe and well.
