Help Schoolhouse Make It to 2021
Tax deductible
The effects of COVID have brought Schoolhouse to its knees! For 32-years, Schoolhouse has endured recessions, bad weather and budget cuts. When local schools could no longer afford to offer our children theater and music experiences, Schoolhouse was there to pick up the slack. But, the COVID crisis may finally force Schoolhouse to close for good.
We are doing our best to come up with ways to provide entertainment and classes while keeping everyone safe. We have many great ideas for 2021, including outdoor performances, virtual shows and performances on our main stage with limited seating! But, meanwhile we need to get through the winter!
Unfortunately, without income from our regular shows and education program, we are “on the ropes” financially and struggling to keep our building. We are working diligently to secure a grant to help get us by – but if we are unable to do that, it is very likely that Schoolhouse will not survive into 2021.
For many of you, Schoolhouse is your "home away from home" and the thought of closing is incredibly tragic. Please help us raise the funds to pay for heat and snowplowing this winter so we can make it to warmer weather in 2021 and continue Schoolhouse's 32-year legacy.
It is a challenging time, but with your help, we can make it! Every donation helps! Little by little, a little becomes a lot!
A little more about Schoolhouse Arts Center:
For 32-years, children and adults have benefited from the rewarding experience of being able to participate in live stage productions and education at Schoolhouse. Those experiences have helped them develop self-confidence and learn new skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.
Schoolhouse Arts Center is a nonprofit, community-driven organization dedicated to arts education and the presentation of the arts. Our mission is to encourage individual growth and a spirit of community through participation in the arts. We seek to foster a fun, creative, educational, and supportive arts environment where people can grow, develop skills, and involve themselves in the arts. We offer educational programs for children and adults in music, voice, acting, and other areas that encourage a strong community interest in the arts. We produce 6 to 9 stage productions per year aimed at nurturing a greater enjoyment of and participation in community theater.
