Help US Navy Vet Doug keep his home.

Our neighbor Doug Spangler and his wife Summer need emergency funds or they will lose their home on January 4th to foreclosure if they cannot bring their mortgage payments up to date. Doug has not been able to work due to serious health issues that he has been battling for the last year, and is currently receiving in-home PT and Healthcare through
Medicaid. Summer has also been in and out of the hospital over the past year for various health issues. The stress of the impending foreclosure is also hurting their mental and physical health.
Doug is 61 years old and has hired an attorney to get early social security benefits. They have a hearing coming up and are not sure how that is going to work out. It is our hope to raise enough money to cover back payment on their mortgage, taxes, medical bills, and other items that they need to catch up on totaling roughly $15,000. We would love to raise enough to pay off their mortgage as neither of them are able to work due to their health issues.
Doug is a decorated Navy veteran who served seven (7) years and received the Battle “E” award, Navy Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal (2), and the Good Conduct Medal. Doug also served his community of Ridgely, WV with the Volunteer Fire Department for 8 years prior to enlisting in the Navy. He also performed temporary duty on the Ridgeley Police department in 1993/94.
Please help them keep their house and continue to provide for their 3 puppies as well. They are great neighbors, Patriots, and friends.
