Help Weezy Recover from Dishonest Dental Clinic

Donation protected
My sister, Louise Schostek (Weezy), had medically necessary surgery to have all her teeth removed and replaced by dental implants. Surgery was successful but, due to some jaw issues, healing took longer than expected. The jawbone needs to heal and grow around the implants before artificial teeth can be attached.

Louise paid Woodbury Dental Arts $25,000 for the procedure which was supposed to guarantee lifetime care for her new teeth. She was required to pay this amount before they would do the work. Her mouth had not yet healed fully from surgery when on March 4th she learned via a WCCO news report on TV that Woodbury Dental Arts had abruptly closed without warning.

This left Louise and many others with their dental work unfinished. Even their records, x-rays and other medical information were unavailable. The Attorney General and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry are aware of the situation. However, the owner of the practice, Dr. Marko Kamel, took all their money and absconded with it. He has declared bankruptcy. There may be litigation, but that could take years, if ever. Weezy vetted him with recommendations of others who had work done there, and other means.

Meanwhile, Louise has no teeth, only a mouthful of titanium posts inserted into her jaw permanently. She is unable to eat anything but food that is soft, chopped up very fine, or pureed - since January. She is looking forward to eating normally and being healthy.

She has found a wonderful dentist who will finish the work -for another $25,000. She has dental insurance, but it
pays only $2500 a year and may not pay anything at all.

Louise is retired having worked for Sears for 40 years. Her husband died in 2018. She lives on a small pension and Social Security. Getting implants was a huge investment in the first place. Now she has to pay all over again.

Please help Louise get her new teeth. Any and every donation helps. But I, Weezy's brother, will match every $100 (or more) donation with $100, Up to the First 10 donations of at least $100 this time around. If you give 100, I will give 100 - If you give 500 I will match that with 100. Make your donation add up faster this way and is incentive to get the ball rolling.
