Help for Our Local Asylum Seekers

Reunite Migrant Families received the email below from Evelyn Garzetta, Director of Grace Immigrant Outreach, Millbrook, NY.  We’re facing a new level of crisis in our world, in our communities, in our families. Reunite Migrant Families started almost two years ago, to bring attention to the horrors at the Mexican border, the unsafe, unsanitary, dangerous conditions for children, for families.  We hope you will be able to give your same generous attention and donations to this new situation in our neighborhood.

I hope you are all well along with your loved ones and staying safe and healthy. As human beings of this beautiful earth, we are all going through unknown and even more difficult times. As long as we are in support and caring for one another we will make it as we have so many times in the past.

Harney Teas, which is a large employer in the Northeast Dutchess, as of Wednesday had to lay off many staff members. Many of those staff members are from the Spanish speaking population. So here I am once again humbly requesting assistance in this time of great need in our world. 

Of course, we understand that there are many in need of help and we do not mean to add any pressure on anyone. When we distribute food at MESA we serve everyone that comes to the door.

We, Reunite Migrant Families, know that staying home is vital to our health, so we are soliciting financial donations that would be used to purchase food and essentials during this ongoing crisis for families in need.  We currently have volunteers willing to shop and deliver to the Millbrook area.
