Can you help Grace prepare for University

Hi, my name is Olivia and I would like to tell you about the dreadful events that my friend Grace has recently been through. Here is her story ........

On Saturday 11th March my family and I arrived at a surprise meal for my mom's 50th birthday. When the meal came to an end and everyone started to leave, my grandad said that he felt unwell and then suddenly collapsed in the car park. While I was on the phone to the ambulance my mom had to perform CPR and mouth-to-mouth on her dad. Alongside this, other family members and workers were trying to use the defibrillator. For me and my family, this was a very traumatising experience. Unfortunately, we lost my grandad there and then.
The following day my dad, my boyfriend and I went to visit my nan to keep her company for a couple of hours. My mom was staying with my nan for the next couple of nights, so we all went back home. As we all stepped out of the car, there was loud beeping coming from my house, my dad quickly opened the door and a ton of smoke came rushing out of the house. Our house was on fire!!! Weeks before this, we had adopted a 14-month-old Cane Corso from Birmingham Dogs Home. We called her Ava and from that day we gave her a new home and she was given so much love. Sadly, our dog was in the house at the time of the fire and was lifted out by the firefighters. A full tank of oxygen was used on Ava, but too much smoke had taken over… We, unfortunately, lost Ava that night. Again this was another traumatic experience for me and my family that you could never wish on anyone. Not only losing our dog but watching our house be destroyed.
My family and I have now split away from each other, staying with both grandparents whilst trying to find a new house to fall back on until our home is liveable. This could take up to six months until we are back in our home. The whole house has to be gutted, meaning clothes, valuable items, and objects in the house will be thrown away if they cannot be salvaged. My family has a lot to focus on, such as the cremation of my grandad and my dog, getting our home back and our mental health. The trauma of the last few weeks will stay with me forever but I am determined to try and do my very best to complete my A Levels to the best of my ability. This is extremely difficult due to some of my work and resources being in the house at the time of the fire. In six months I will be going to Bournemouth University to study illustration and may not get the opportunity to go back to my happy place, my home where I felt safe.

Any support you could give to my friend Grace at this distressing time would be most appreciated - thank you!!
