Help heal the inner reaches of Billy's brain

September 6, 2008, I had a massive hemorrhagic stroke in Olivenhain, California.
As explained below, I am seeking $20,000 total to travel with m’lady Joanne from Vallejo, California (where I live) to Florida (where Dr. Edward Tobinick's clinic, the "Institute of Neurological Recovery" is located): www.nrimed.com
NOTE: physically, I (and my cane!) will need someone to accompany me to Florida. Additionally, the treatment sometimes takes two “treatments” to be fully effective.
The balance of this GoFundMe explains why and how this treatment is needed and will likely work extremely well for me. (Medical treatments are never guaranteed, yet the likelihood of it working for me, a patient with a hemorrhagic stroke, is high. If so, the treatment would make an enormous difference in my life.
My Stroke Story:
A team of paramedics broke into the house and rushed me to a nearby major hospital. I became fully awake a week later with a host of physical problems, including my right side completely paralyzed and numerous, overwhelming neurological problems.
Since then, having done over the years considerable research and various forms of physical therapy and diet, I have only partially healed. My entire right side is still largely paralyzed and I have several cognitive problems.
Fast forward: "Brain-Body Research Institute" scientists have contributed to the development of a revolutionary new injection designed to rapidly improve recovery from stroke, even if, like me, given months or years after the stroke. This treatment is available at the Institute of Neurological Recovery in Boca Raton, Florida. The complete "reverse stroke" feature TV show, "60 Minutes Australia," is here: www.strokebreakthrough.com.
Edward Tobinick, M.D., the founder and Director of the "Institute of Neurological Recovery", invented the remarkable breakthrough perispinal etanercept treatment for stroke and chronic brain injury, first used in 2010, now with thousands of patients treated from 76 countries.
In October 2018, the Australian Government announced their designation of substantial funding to study perispinal etanercept (PSE) for treatment of stroke. On January 3, 2020, a university, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, clinical trial confirmed the efficacy of perispinal etanercept for treatment of chronic, post-stroke pain. Dr. Tobinick was instrumental in the design of the university study.
The INR accepts patients for treatment from all parts of the world, and has treated patients from every populated continent of the world.
Scientific articles from hundreds of academic scientists around the world have cited INR publications.
For the last year I have supported — by my actions, emails and calls — the two research scientists, Dr. Robert Spengler and Dr. Tracey Ignatowski, who have done the basic, robust science underlying and making possible Dr. Tobinick's outstanding medical work.
My plan is to fly from where I live in Vallejo, California to Dr. Tobinick's clinic — the "Institute of Neurological Recovery", in Boca Raton, Florida — for treatment/s which will take perhaps a week.
The $20,000 total I am seeking to fund this GoFundMe is to cover my travel and motel costs, as well as Dr. Tobinick's treatment/s. They will hopefully do what nothing else has even adequately accomplished — significantly heal the manifold injuries from my 2008 hemorrhagic stroke. You can genuinely help by contributing $20 or more as you reasonably can and see fit.
Thank you very much for your consideration!
