Help Jerry to fulfil his dream of running a YouTube Channel

Hi, my name is Jenny and I’m fundraising for Jerry Richter-Nguyen who is 23 and is living with Downs Syndrome.

As a toddler, while learning to walk, he developed a lazy leg. He regressed to crawling on the floor and dragging his body on the floor. He learned to walk with the aid of a walker. Today, he roller and ice skates, swims, boxes, and enjoys a number of sports, focusing on Zendokai. He is on track to gain a black belt in 2025.

Jerry didn’t talk until he was 8 years old, when he stated stringing 2 and 3 words together. His early years were frustrating- can you imagine not being able to ask a simple thing like ‘I’m thirsty, may I have a drink?

In 2023 he won 1 of 5 available scholarships in an Emerging Leadership Program culminating in attendance at the

World Downs Syndrome Congress in Brisbane Qld - 1000 delegates from around the world attended.

Jerry fulfilled leadership duties in addition to giving his own presentation showcasing his martial art and magician skills.

Jerrys’ desire is to further his impact in the community and reach a lot more people through a YouTube channel “Downs Under with Jerry’.

His goal is to inspire, educate and entertain both abled and disabled people to reach their full potential through his videos and content on social media platforms.

He needs funding for studio equipment including a green screen, microphone, lighting, props, software, training, speech pathology requirements and to pay for a skilled video editor for a few years.
