Help my and my mother and sister to rescue ourselves

I am raising this fundraising by myself as I have to take an action inorder to help my mother and sister in which there is no right for us to have the luxury to cry or to live our sorrows. My family has suffered a great tragedy only a few days ago where we have lost my father and both of my brothers.

At first my family and I created this link in order to raise funds to cover our travel expenses. Unfortunately, our dream was killed.

My mom and sister (Aya) have experienced unimaginable pain and suffering. As I write this, I remember when the Israel army conquered the building where we live, forcing us (me and my mom and sister) to go to Rafah and take my father and brothers away. The trauma of watching them taking my father and my brothers in front of our eyes has scarred us for life. Now, we are alone and need to travel for my mom's health.

My brothers and I had many dreams, hopes and aspirations which have been shattered through this war. My father has lost his work and office and our home in which my father had worked so hard to build—30 years of my father's labour, our memories, and our entire life—ripped from us. I remember when my family and I entered our bombed-out home, we attempted to console one another. Then, with tears in our eyes, horror on our faces, and hesitation in our minds, we began gathering whatever bombshells were left over from our home. Where would we be staying? We believed that this was the worst thing that could have happened to us.

On March 22, 2024, my father, mother, sister (Aya), both of my brothers (Awad and Mohammed) and I were sitting together, attempting to calm each other, while we heard bombshells, gunfire, explosions, missiles, and screaming, as well as heartbeats and the fragrance of panic. We grab each other's hands and hide in the kitchen since it is the safest area in the department; the window glass has fallen, a gun has broken into our home and the smell of smoke is getting closer as we assume they are burning the building while we are inside. We began yelling, "There are civilians in the building, we are civilians," and eventually they heard us, they dragged my sister, my 55-year-old mother, and I to the south, and took my father 65 years old and both of our brothers from us. Three women, by themselves, walked over 18 km from 2:30 PM to 8:15 PM, crying and afraid for our father and brothers, and praying for both our safety and theirs. My mother was unable to stand. After passing 18Km, we start seeing some people, we screamed for help, two men came and drove us to the hospital to check my mom healthy condition. Day by day, we awaited my father and both my brothers return until the devastating news arrived: "They are being gunned after being granted safety to travel south." At this moment we lost.

We were forbidden to say goodbye. I remember my mom saying it was the first time we got separated but I never thought that it would be the first and the last time.

It was an unbearably painful reality. We lost all and now I found myself in a position where I don’t have time to live my sorrows and need to take action for my mom’s health. We had to leave. It is a choice for us, we lost all and I can’t lose more.

Your donations will help me and my mom and sister to rebuild our wounded souls. We will use the funds to assist them to leave the Gaza strip, and check my mom’s health especially after we lost our dearest and a months of suffering and struggling in this extreme and inhumane situation.

# We will make a health check for my mom’s as she is having chronic disease.

#Will be used to cover living costs at the beginning until I can start work and generate money through my laptops, (I was working with a nonprofit organisation as a MEAL officer in an organisation called (community development and media centre).
