Hello everyone, I am starting a gofundme to help me afford to be able to get my daughter back. A brief backstory, my name is Isaiah Torres, my daughters name is Olympia Capaldi, the mother of my child’s name is Ella Capaldi. Ella was a UK Citizen living in Jupiter from 2017-2021, in the year 2020-2021 Ella and I were in a relationship for about 7 to 8 months before she was pregnant. She got pregnant in January of 2021 and gave birth to our daughter Olympia on September 21st 2021. Long story short our relationship throughout the pregnancy went very badly & we separated about a month after Olympia was born. I was not on the birth certificate, so I went to the nearest courthouse to me and began the process of filing for paternity, which for how long the process lasted cost a lot of money. But in the middle of the court process Ella informed me that her visa had expired and that she will be forced to leave to Italy. She put the request for relocation into the court house & luckily she was denied by the judge on July 20th 2022. On August 15th 2022 since she was denied she fled to Villa Latina, Frosinone Italy with Olympia, which I was then granted full custody of Olympia here in the US. I began the process for a international child abduction case through The Hague Convention. The process took some time to inform the Italian Central Authority. Once informed I had to attend 3 hearings in front of the Rome Italian court system. After those hearings, on May 9th 2023 I got the best news ever, the Italian courts requested for Olympia to return back to the United States with me Isaiah Torres. My parents and I immediately flew into Rome to pick Olympia up. But that’s just the beginning, we were told that on Friday May 11th there would be a “visit” with Olympia to make the transition easier for her. Ella did not show up to that visit and has disappeared somewhere in Italy. Ella then was able file an appeal to the Italian Supreme Court which was approved, the case was then sent down to Naples to be heard by another court. From the very beginning of dealing with the Naples court something seemed wrong. There was a hearing scheduled for May of 2024, even before the hearing my attorneys and I felt that they already made their decision before even speaking to us. I attended the hearing in person, on the day of the hearing the judges informed us that they did not read any of the court documents prior to the hearing. They proceeded to ask me “how do I expect to take care of my daughter without the mother in her life?” The hearing concluded after more questions, they scheduled a hearing for Ella to appear and speak at but she did not show up for the hearing. The Naples court then came to their decision and decided that Olympia should not return to the US with me. I am in the process of filing an appeal which will be a lot of work for me and my attorneys. I will never give up looking for my little girl, please help me in any way possible, all donations will be going towards my legal fees & allowing me to continue searching for my daughter.
