Help me fund an Expedition to Costa Rica

Hi, I'm Eli, a student at Farnborough 6th Form, studying Geography, Economics & Business with an EPQ (on the Environmental Sustainability of EVs) and I'm near the end of my first year of A-Levels!
I have been able to gain some great work experience through placements, my part-time job, volunteering, Duke of Edinburgh and Cadet training but I would like to be able to take it one step further and learn how to become a true Global Citizen!
I have been offered the opportunity to take part in something
amazing – a 16 day college expedition to Costa Rica in July 2025 with Outlook Expeditions, the leading independent provider of youth development programmes in the UK. The outlook expedition will offer an invaluable opportunity for me to be empowered and educated in a way that is mutually beneficial for all. To provide long-lasting transformational benefits to help me help our communities and the planet!
Why?
A Global Citizen is aware of and understands the wider world - and their place in it. They take an active role in their community and work with others to make our planet more equal, fair and sustainable.
- To deliver inspirational, immersive learning experiences, outside the classroom, that accelerate core skills development in young people.

- To encourage young people to travel responsibly and become active global citizens of the future, with an awareness of the world and their place in it

Put simply, Outlook Expeditions exist to help young people get ready for life!
The UK Leadership development phase is underpinned by Leader in Me, the Life Readiness leadership qualification.
Based on Covey's '7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens' Leader in Me is a comprehensive evidence-based learning model designed to increase effectiveness in students.
Outcomes
Through the completion of this course, I will learn about character concepts and skills that I will use not only on expedition, but for the rest of my life. Including; taking responsibility for my life, managing my time, teamwork, communication, and tools to manage my own wellbeing.
The key learnings from this award-winning leadership training programme will be drawn upon throughout both phases of the Outlook Programme and will form a framework that can be applied to any life scenario.
Costa Rica 2025
So far I have been:
Car washing, gardening & odd jobs locally, organised a bake & book sale and will be hosting a quiz this summer on top of my part-time-job, studies and cadets!
