Help my mother with Multiple Sclerosis through an eviction
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Gabriel. My mother, who has multiple sclerosis since she was 20 years old and is now 50, faces immense challenges due to this debilitating disease. Multiple sclerosis has gradually robbed her and of the ability to walk and articulate her limbs properly. Unfortunately, she can no longer work, and attempts at employment, such as factory jobs, are short-lived.
Recently, we experienced a devastating setback when she was evicted from her apartment due to a heartless scam. The former director of the apartment complex misled her into believing she had secured a place to live. Despite her suspicions, my mother paid the rent monthly via e-transfer as instructed. Months later, we discovered the director had vanished, leaving her with no legal tenancy rights.
With only two days' notice from the new management, I rushed to help her move out. The abrupt move meant leaving behind many of her belongings. We found temporary shelter with friends of the family, but it's only a short-term solution.
My mother is determined to regain stability. She wants to live independently and manage her own affairs. I am reaching out to raise funds to support her in finding a new home, covering rent (7000$), purchasing essential furniture (3000$), and providing her with additional financial support to ease her worries(5000$). She deserves a safe and stable place to live where she can focus on her health and well-being. And maybe if the fundraiser goes well we can launch a new one to help her get alemtuzumab treatment for her multiple sclerosis.
