Help support domestication of Roof Rats

Hi fellow animal lovers. We are the only breeders of pet Roof Rats in North America. This is Big Boy, one of our amazing, domesticated Roof Rats!

We don't charge money for rats like Big Boy. They are free to good homes to keep as beloved family pets. Honestly, who wouldn't want a pet like him?

Roof Rats were native to South Asia, and they prefer warm, humid weather. Babies and nursing mothers must be protected from the cold.

Although Central Florida is warm most of the year, in the winter it can get very cold. We keep our house warm all winter to protect the Nursing mothers. This gets expensive, as does food, bedding, treats, toys, cages, hammocks and many other expenses.

Our monthly expenses for our rats are very high. But we love them, and we are happy to do it. But if you'd like to help care for roof rats, that would just wonderful and greatly appreciated!

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone that has already donated to us to help our roof rats. The original purpose of this GoFundMe was to replace our AC Only HVAC with a Heat Pump HVAC. But this won't be practical. A new Heat Pump HVAC is only a few hundred dollars more than a AC Only one (and the max Tax rebate is $1,400 more!), it will cost thousands of $$$ to upgrade it now. It is also hard to find Allied HVAC dealers in my area.

So, we decided not to upgrade our HVAC at this time, but we will leave the GoFundMe open for anyone that would like to support our roof rats. We will use all funds collected to date for their food, bedding, cages, heating and other expenses. I'm confident most of you that donated to us did so because you want to support our roof rats, and you'll be OK with this change in focus. If not, it's OK: Just let me know, and I'll refund your donation.
