Help the Barry Boys to make a difference
Donation protected
*UPDATE Hey just to put anyone's mind at rest the boys don't stay on the stall at all, the pic was taken just as we had set up before anyone came. The boys help us to set up and set down then they are off playing or watching and waving from the window when people come. The stall is left unmanned and we keep an eye on it from inside our home or from a distance. They also help us to check on neighbours daily & deliver supplies to them, but they knock and then we retreat to over 2m away (at the end of the driveways). We wouldn't want to put ourselves or anyone we're helping at risk.
You may have seen that the boys and us are trying to help out our local community as much as we can during these tough times, this has included buying fruit and veg for a weekly free fruit and veg stall, delivering fruit and veg to those who are unable to leave their homes due to being elderly or isolating, delivering treats and supplies, arranging for shopping for those who are unable to go to the shops etc.
We would love to continue this through the whole of lock down/shielding and then continue to look , but after the isolated in our community for long after this time. Obviously this is self funded by us, except for some kind donations of food from Morrisons Breightmet, Fresh & More fruit and veg and a few great local people! We need your help to keep the boys as 'stall holders' and to help them to keep making a big difference!
We have had lots of people who have wanted to get involved and help out which you can do by dropping off donations of long life products to us or you can help us to keep on helping our community by donating online and we will keep sharing all that we are up to!
You can see more of what we are up to on our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/709426749888185/
Once this time has passed we will be continuing to work to make our community stronger and to look out for those who are isolated. If any funds are remaining after lock down these will go towards providing support to those who are elderly or isolated in our community.
Thank you for reading (and thank you from the boys Joshua 9, Ben 7 & Isaac 4 who now think they are famous ha ha)
