Support Bree and Lyle during Lyle’s recovery

Update August 2nd: Plan is for Lyle to be discharged today! 

Update July 29th: Lyle’s pain is as expected, vitals looking good, and he took a stroll around the unit. ❤️

Update: July 27th at 9pm

Lyle underwent another open heart surgery to redo what was done in the first one as there was a “kink in the hose” causing severe pain.

My name is Jordan, and I’m writing this on behalf of the community surrounding Bree and Lyle right now.

Bree and Lyle are two of the most generous humans I know, even dedicating their lives to help others through their non profit, Magnolia Harbor CareFarm (helping animals and humans to feel safe and heal from trauma and grief).

Since Sunday July 25th, Lyle has been in the hospital and had open heart surgery Wednesday July 26th. Thankfully, he knew the symptoms were similar to a previous heart attack in 2018 and they advocated for his care and treatment, which led to the need for surgery.

As of today, July 27th, he is currently in ICU awake and the medical team is working to try to control and manage his pain level.

Bree and Lyle are normally the ones helping others, and now it’s their turn to receive support.

These funds will go straight to them to help offset the cost of the time Bree will miss work. She is the sole income earner as a therapist while Lyle maintains their farm.

Their local friends and community are banding together to help with the physical tasks of caring for the farm and the animals.

I ask you to give what you can and to share. I’ve shared a picture of the farm I took this weekend. This place is a healing space for others and will continue to be.
