Training Earth Guardians and Reviving Ecosystems Worldwide

The University of Mother Earth is an extraordinary initiative led by Earth Elders to cultivate a new generation of Earth Guardians. Through a global network of 52 Traditional Knowledge Centers across continents, alongside dedicated hubs—the University of the Forest in the Amazon and the University of the Oceans in Oceania—this initiative brings together ancient wisdom and modern regenerative practices. We need your help to build these transformative learning centers and train the leaders who will heal and protect our planet.

Why the University of Mother Earth?

Humanity faces a moment of reckoning with climate change, ecosystem collapse, and the degradation of natural landscapes. The University of Mother Earth is designed to address these challenges by reviving and integrating Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) with science-based regenerative practices. This initiative will equip students with essential skills and a profound understanding of Nature, so they can restore ecosystems and build a more resilient future.

Our Vision: A Network of Knowledge and Restoration Centers

With your support, we will establish:

52 Bio-regional Traditional Knowledge Centers Worldwide: These centers will serve as bio-regional learning hubs where students from all walks of life will gain hands-on training in ecosystem restoration. They will learn from indigenous elders and local leaders, fostering an exchange of knowledge that has been cultivated over generations.

The University of the Forest in the Amazon:

This dedicated center in the Amazon will immerse students in one of the world's most bio-diverse ecosystems. Under the guidance of forest guardians, students will learn sustainable forestry, reforestation techniques, and Amazonian TEK to restore and protect this crucial biome.

The University of the Oceans:

This unique campus in Oceania will train students in ocean restoration, working with indigenous knowledge keepers to understand traditional practices in marine conservation, sea grass and coral restoration, and coastal resilience.

The Experience: Becoming an Earth Guardian

At each center, students will embark on a sacred journey that blends deep ecological education with self-discovery. They will:

Engage in Hands-On Restoration:

From reforesting degraded lands to reviving marine ecosystems, students will learn by doing, building the skills they need to become effective restorers.

Study Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK):

Students will learn alongside Earth Elders, gaining insight into practices that have sustained communities and ecosystems for centuries, grounding them in respect and reciprocity with Nature.

Connect Deeply with Nature:

Through immersive experiences, students will cultivate a profound connection to Earth, awakening the values and principles that define an Earth Guardian.

Graduates of the University of Mother Earth will emerge as skilled regenerators, ready to restore ecosystems and inspire a movement of ecological guardianship.
