Help us feed those in need

“Staying home is hard to do when you don’t have one.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic numerous homeless drop-in centres in Sydney; providing meals and other amenities such as showers and toilets are having to close their doors or reduce their services. They are heavily reliant on volunteers and with limited funds they are unable to offer their full assistance. So like many other businesses, centres are having to adapt their services to be able to support the homeless and other people in need of help during this crisis.

Kirsty Lou’s kitchen  is a Sydney based catering company and like many has lost a substantial amount of business during the COVID-19 pandemic. We currently have 3 full time staff that would like to be able to use our time more effectively and help those that are in need.

We have partnered up with Canice’s Kitchen,  a donation and volunteer homeless centre to help support their COVID-19 response plan:

Seven day a week take-away food service with strict social distancing protocols
Phone call service for isolated community members needing support
Access to toilets & showers at our Elizabeth premises
Take-away toiletry and sanitary packs 

With your help we will supply the guests with some delicious, hearty, hot takeaway meals. We are looking for donations to fund the produce needed to make the meals and we will do the rest!

Not only will your donations help feed those less fortunate, but support our local businesses, suppliers and families.

We at Kirsty Lou’s Kitchen feel lucky we have the support of our family and a roof over our heads so would like to be able to give back to the community in these testing times.
