Familia Utz Corazón and One World Cacao are very honored to introduce you to our newest collaboration with Wellkind and CentroComunitario Chitzununchoy Tzununá to provide education and technical scholarships/sponsorships from CECAP Santa Cruz La Laguna and Amigos de Santa Cruz Foundation to locals in San Marcos La Laguna.
Locals will have a range of courses to choose from including: carpentry, electrical, cosmetology and sewing by machine.
Each course has 3 stages from beginners to intermediate to advanced. The entire program will be for one year. At the end of the program, locals will receive a certification from CECAP and a further opportunity for a paid internship.
Scholarship
Who can apply?
Any Marquense 16yrs and older
How to apply?
Applicant must send a video (1 to 2 min) with an introduction, brief bio, the course they are interested in and how this scholarship will benefit their future.

Sponsorship
Who can be a sponsor?
Any individual or business in Guatemala or other country
Requirements of sponsor:
A sponsor must be able to pay for the course and transportation.
The average cost is 200usd.
Who can be a beneficiary:
Any person 16yrs or older (can be from any town)
Must be able to attend the course in Santa Cruz once a week.

All scholarship and Sponsorship beneficiaries must sign a contract confirming they will complete the course. In addition, one day a month all applicants are required to volunteer for a community project to be identified by Familia Utz Corazon. At the end of the entire course, all applicants will also volunteer for a small community initiative also identified by Familia Utz Corazon.
For each course, there is a minimum headcount of persons. When we have reached this quota, the course will begin.
